Creased, washed denim.
The first time I’ve ever liked creased denim. Bravo.
Ivy Style » A Tribute to the Collar Pin. Christian over at Ivy Style has some nice pictures of gentlemen in my favorite bit of shirt jewelry.
At the moment I’m working on a piped blazer that looks exactly like this, except it’s navy blue instead of pink. Can’t wait to finish/wear it.

Old, beautiful mugshots

These photos have been making their ways around the internet lately. They’re from the New South Wales, Australia police department from around the 1920s. It’s like a treasure chest of beautiful imagery.

I look to a number of periods for style inspiration, but perhaps none more so than the twenties. 1920s fashion is like 1930s fashion but with a lot less order and sensibleness. It fluctuates between the sublime and really odd, but it’s always really interesting to look into. I’d post all these pictures, but instead I’ll just urge you to look at more of them here.
(I especially love the men’s hairstyles from this period.)

Forgot that I had my navy DB.. Sheesh it was 28c & only 0800 when this was taken.
Details: Jacket (part of suit) - Bespoke 8.5 oz Fresco (same as grey suit I had on last week), Shirt - Bespoke, Pantaloons (part of suit) - Bespoke 8.5 oz Fresco, PS - vintage Japanese silk, Shoes - black “Belgrave” Crockett & Jones.
*disregard the sleeves issues as it was just too HAWT to do another retake. Also running late.
I’d never try wearing a double breasted coat without a tie but, as usual, MistahWong does it flawlessly. Bravo.
